Responsible Play
Prize draws are a form of entertainment, and winning is never guaranteed. Understand how draws work and make informed choices about participating.
Understand chance
For every final prize draw, each winning ticket number is drawn randomly from the pool of all tickets issued, using fresh randomness for every ticket number drawn.
For every prize draw with instant wins, the instant-winning ticket numbers are randomly assigned from the fixed ticket pool using fresh randomness.
Previous results do not predict which tickets will win next.
Do not rely on prize draws as a source of income or a way to recover money already spent. A ticket gives you an entry into the applicable draw; it does not promise a prize.
Make informed choices
- Read the entry price, prize information, timing and applicable terms before entering.
- Decide what you can comfortably spend on entertainment before you start, taking everyday responsibilities into account.
- Keep track of your spending and entries using your wallet, Transactions and My Prize Draws.
- Avoid making entry decisions when upset, under pressure or affected by alcohol or other substances.
- An offer or countdown is not a reason to spend more than you intended.
Notice when participation is causing concern
Pay attention if participation is affecting your relationships, work, finances or wellbeing, or if you feel compelled to keep entering to recover losses.
Speaking with someone you trust or an appropriately qualified professional can help you consider what to do next.
